Nursery Music - Hearts

 

I sewed these hearts from red felt and stuffed them with the scraps left over!

 

I made them so each child could hold them while we sing the following:

1. I am a Child of God
2. Follow the Prophet, I show them a picture of the Prophet and we talk about him and say his name before we sing just the chorus at this point, but I hope to add more in the older Nursery as the are ready
3. Happy Family
4. Heavenly Father loves me (line by line)
5. Jesus said love everyone
6. Kindness begins with me
7. A Special Gift is Kindness

Nursery Music - Sunglasses

 

We were these Sunglasses to sing:

1. I Love to see the Temple, and I hold up a picture of the Temple
2. Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam

Nursery FUN!

 

I got this parachute at Target - Better Homes & Gardens Products,

but it would be very easy to make your own!

We use it for:

One Little Monkey Jumping on the bed, if you could find several small 

monkeys it would be easy to do more Monkeys

When We're helping We're happy, we use the balls and let them bounce around

Fun to Do, we use the balls again and sing... bouncing the balls is fun to do & shaking our hands is fun to do

Nursery Music - Choosing Songs

I made and laminated all these hearts and then taped them to disposable chop sticks, each heart says a song on it and then at the bottom says what "activity" goes with the song such as shakers, parachute, hands/actions, movement, hearts, sunglasses.

Nursery Music - Puppet

I got this puppet at IKEA and use it when we sing Itsy Bitsy Spider

The kids can not take their eyes off it while we sing!

Nursery Singing Time - Shakers

I got called to be the Nursery Music Leader in January, I am finally starting to get my plans in place and am going to document and share them here!

 

I took mini Easter eggs and filled them with rice and hot glued them shut...

 They are just the right size for little hands and not too loud!  :)
